Obituary for Susan L. Groscost

Susan L. Groscost, 72, of Mansfield passed away Decemberr 27, 2019 at her home after a long illness.

Susan was born February 12, 1947 in Mansfield to Lowell and Ima Cox Snyder. She was a graduate of Malabar High School and was a well-known bartender around Mansfield. Susan loved nature, especially mushroom hunting, snowmen, Indian motif, and swimming. She cherished all of the times she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Summer (Pete) Hunsinger of Mansfield; grandchildren Kaylie and Reese Vance, Chase Hunsinger; sister Tharen Blankenship of Bellville; adopted daughter Heather Walker; and adopted grandchildren Sarah Walker, Jason Taylor, Caliece Grimes; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jim Snyder; sister Sondra Osborne; soulmate Denny Davis.

Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 1-3pm. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family or Hospice of North Central Ohio.
